Statement Of Faith
When I was asked to write a statement of faith, I pondered, prayed
and thought about it. The easy thing to say is that it is recorded in God’s Word – just
open up to Genesis and read through to the book of Revelation. Some would say that is
evasive or is a cop out. Many times people use a statement of faith to tie you to a sect of
people or to a denomination. I would like to say what the Bible says: we were first called
Christians at Antioch. The best statement of faith is an obedient life of godliness and
holiness. The Bible teaches that if all the things that Jesus did were written down in books
that the world could not contain these books. I could say that this web page could not
contain a written statement of faith, because faith is the power of our salvation, and
without it we cannot know God or please God. If you have any questions, contact the pastor to
send a letter. – Pastor Rob Coones
- We believe that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
- We use the Authorized King James Bible for an absolute.
- We believe the Word of God is uncompromised.
- We believe that Jesus Christ, who is the Word, is the same today, yesterday and
forever.
- We believe that all authority and power under heaven is in the name of Jesus Christ,
and that there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.
- We believe that the attributes of the Lord Jesus should be made manifest in the
present day believers through the power of the Holy Ghost.
- We believe that the gifts given to the early church by the Holy Ghost are given to the
saints of God in this present day and hour to utilize for an overcoming and abundant
life in Christ Jesus.
- We believe that God has poured out His Spirit upon all flesh, on the just and the
unjust, but that the infilling of His Spirit is made known by an overcoming life of
obedience to His Word.
- We believe that we have a unction from the Holy Ghost to know all things, and He will
lead us into all truth, and that the truth will set us free.
