In August of 2006 the church family of Christian Temple traveled to Rugby, North Dakota to help Bro. Jeremy Pierce renovate a 100 year old church building to be used as a mission. The families of Christian Temple donated not only their time and equipment, but also purchased all the construction materials necessary to make the building function as a church and mission. Men, women and children worked together, putting in long hours to accomplish the task for the glory of God. Some of the renovations included installing new front doors, carpeting throughout the church, a tiled lobby, back entry, and installing a bathroom. Using a borrowed bucket truck and scaffolding, the brethren painted the exterior of the mission and hung new vinyl signage. The residents of Rugby were so inspired by the outpouring of benevolent activities that several local churches provided our brethren and families with daily meals throughout our 10 day mission trip. The activities at the old church gave the brotherhood plenty of opportunities to minister to curious passers-by within the community in both Word, deed, and spirit. We are excited to have a part in what the Lord is doing in Rugby.
